The 18th international meeting and the 8th international fair for maritime and navigation industries was held in Kish from October 19 through 22 of this year in the presence of state and military authorities, experts, companies, governmental institutes and organs, private sector and state’s maritime organs. FANAVARAN SYRAF had a strong appearance in the Fair, and as one of reputable knowledge-based manufacturing companies, succeeded practically in conveying to foreign countries involved in manufacturing maritime equipment the message that Iranian manufacturers are good researchers as well. In the Fair, the SYRAF CEO had B-to-B sessions with some shipyards from China, Turkey, Netherland and Portugal. Having been held after the lift of international sanctions, this Fair gathered together many foreign companies enthusiastic for cooperation to jointly export maritime equipment; and to this end, these companies held several meetings with the SYRAF CEO to examine how to utilize SYRAF technologies to satisfy the needs of their shipyards. Good results are expected to be harvested. The Fair also recognized FANAVARAN SYRAF as a superior industry for the purpose of “localization of maritime industries equipment”. During 10 years of imposing international sanctions on Iran, this Fair for Maritime Industries can be regarded as a unique event, attended by more than 200 domestic companies active in the realm of maritime, navigation and port industries as well as 68 companies and/or agencies from such countries as Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, UK, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China, Japan, Sweden, South Korea, Singapore, Portugal, Greece, Finland, Romania, Serbia and India to introduce their latest advancements, equipment and services in the fields of port and navigation, ship construction and repair work, offshore industries, marine and port services, construction and supply of maritime equipment and their parts and the latest international regulations, standards and conventions.

SYRAF and HVALPSUND Meeting
Dr. Ziaei, the SYRAF CEO, hosted Sir Turban Henrickson, the commercial deputy of HVALPSUND, a Danish company, in order for the two companies to have an opportunity to introduce themselves and their products and capabilities. Ziaei and Henrickson also had some negotiations on the construction of fishing vessels for future cooperation and gave a visit to SYRAF’s vessel construction unit.
